Dark violet color with aromatics reflecting the visual opacity of the wine. Lavender, sage and boysenberry are tightly wound and emerge gradually, yielding a glimpse into the expected longevity of this wine, which will easily make old bones.

The wine is framed by judicious oak, noble tannins and lively acid. In an unlabored manner, the 2019 TGV unfurls and shows layers of fruit, whole cluster driven tobacco and asian spices such as lemongrass and turmeric, mirabelle plum and dry-blue fruit while maintaining density, grip and zing. It is surely no crime to drink now but decant for at least an hour or two before drinking, or wait until 2025—if you can.
